3rd day of my trip
Due to rain again that reported by the weather forecast, I forced to cancel all my plans and decided to travel with my new friend. Early morning I woke up and go out at 8.30am to Dongmun traditional market to have my breakfast, and she came around 10.30am and we have a short walk there. At around 11am, we moved our next destination to Loveland which near to Jeju airport.
Before to Loveland, we went and search the Dokkaebi road. In that journey, I accidentally left my wallet on the bus and thank God, the bus driver chased us and passed me the wallet. Really thank him!
And we managed to find the Dokkaebi road and tried to roll the can and see how far can the can goes. After this we went to Loveland even I felt like do not want to enter but because of just want to accompany my friend, I went unwillingly with her.
After Loveland visiting, we moved to Hamdeok beach and had our late lunch there. Didn't manage to enjoy my coffee with sea view due to heavy rain, we chose to eat our lunch and wait for the rain stop. And finally, the rain stops and we went and took some nice beach and sea view pictures at 6pm before sunset.
2nd day of my trip ~
Managed to go back to Seogwipo after stuck at Udo Island due to heavy rain. Took a cab with a new friend that met in Udo Island back to her hotel which just located at the back of Seongsan Ilchulbong. Because of whole day rain, unable to hike to the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong, I chose to take some nice pictures at her hotel.
I was so amazed at how beautiful and grant of Seongsan Ilchulbong. How it becomes a famous hiking place from a volcano to a place for sunrise and sunset view. Yeah ~ it kinda feels a little bit of disappointment due to can't hike, but overall I'm satisfied to just watch the beauty of Seongsan Ilchulbong at my new friend's hotel.
Will definitely come back and do my hiking! Wait for me please, Seongsan Ilchulbong.
A short trip 6 days 5 nights in Jeju, South Korea. An unforgettable trip ever in my life.
Before approaching the day of travel, encountered an accommodation issue with Agoda and guesthouse, received an email from Agoda and guesthouse that my reservation has been cancelled due to card not been updated. I was so panic and went and called Agoda for assistance in this matter. Agoda was so great in assisted me, the call centre staff went and called the guesthouse and the guesthouse allowed me to reserve the room without updated the card and pay on the spot.
1st day of travel, as usual, I went to the airport early and did check-in. Throughout my 3 hours spent during waiting to board the flight, got to know a group of bike lovers from Penang. In the waiting process, I've a long conversation with one of the uncle and managed to clear some of the issues that have been kept in my heart for several years.
When reached to Jeju airport, I alone carried such medium-sized heavy luggage and took a cab to the guesthouse. While reached the guesthouse, the staffs were good in approached me, helped to carry my luggage to 3rd floor. The guesthouse's services were great, I got a free 1 can of drink in happy hours, breakfast and some leisure games in the guesthouse's living hall. My room is nice too with spacious space and room fragrance. And the guesthouse's location is good with many cafes and restaurants nearby, and 5 minutes walk to Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, 18 minutes to Jeju city hall.
2nd day of my trip, I woke up early and took the bus to Seogwipo. From Jeju City to Seogwipo is an estimated 1hour and 30 minutes. journey. While reaching to the final location which is the Seongsanhang port, I nearly got lost but at the end managed to find the port. I went and bought the ferry tickets, and go to Udo Island, a small island located in the heart of Seogwipo.
In Udo Island, I've no any licenses holding and experience in cycling. I decided to spend around RM18 on the tour bus. On halfway of taking pictures of nice natural views, all of the sudden rain heavily. I went and find a place to hide. When the rain became smaller, I took the tour bus and go to the final destination. Too bad, the rain started rain so heavily. I went to the grocery shop and bought a raincoat, decided to walk. During my walk, I met one girl who also a solo traveller from
Malaysia. I make friend with her and we both decided to travel together under the rain and enjoyed the views.
My first time ran and walked under the heavy rain, first time enjoyed such a beautiful natural view under the rain.
